Right now, The Kia Seltos is one of the best-selling Subcompact SUVs in the United States. And now a report is coming that the Kia is planning to add a hybrid variant in the Seltos lineup.
The Kia Seltos has become a successful SUV for the Kia automaker. It has sold around 60,000+ units in the United States in 2023 and more than 100,000+ units in India of Seltos. And day by day the popularity of the Seltos is increasing.
After looking the demands and popularity of Seltos models, Now the Company is planning to improve it and going to add the hybrid variant in its lineup in 2025. However, it is not confirmed that the hybrid variant of Seltos will be available or not in 2025, but it is expected that the Kia could introduce its Hybrid variant of Seltos in late 2025 as the 2026 Model year.

The Korean News & Media website ChosunBiz has published an article on its subdomain biz.chosun.com, and confirmed that the Kia will produce its compact electric SUV EV5 and compact SUV successor Seltos in 2025, and also it confirmed that they Kia Seltos will have a Hybrid Powertrain.
On behalf of that statement, we can assume that the Kia may launch their hybrid powertrain Seltos SUV in South Korea first, and then it might launch in the United States or other countries as a next-generation.
Kia Seltos Hybrid Powertrain
The Demand of Hybrid vehicles are increasing. And after noticing this demand, Kia CEO and President HO Sung Song confirmed the development of Next-gen hybrid system for the Subcompact SUVs.
The Kia CEO and President has confirmed this in 2024 Kia CEO invester day on 5th April 2024. And they has said that they are developing the hybrid system for the subcompact SUVs. After that, it is assuming that the next-gen Subcompact SUV Kia Seltos will get a hybrid variant. However, the it has not confirmed the hybrid powertrain details yet.

It has been around more than six years of launched the first-generation Seltos. Now its time to launch the Second generation Kia Seltos.
