Polestar is going to launch its most powerful electric sedan to date. As of now, there are lots of electric luxury vehicles available in the market that produce massive power and torque. This all-new beast will be capable of producing a massive power of up to 884 HP combined with a dual motor setup and 664 lb-ft of Torque. Polestar has revealed it on its official website with its some basic details. However, they have not declared everything about specs and features. But according to automotive news media, it will have the sporty exterior styling with a luxury interior. Polestar has claimed that it will be built on its new electric platform, known as the bespoke EV architecture platform.
According to the report, this all-new sporty electric sedan will have fast charging capability, and it will use an 800-volt battery system. With the help of its new electric platform, it will be able to run up to 300 miles of range on a single charge. And don’t worry about its charging. This new EV sedan can be charged 10-80% within 10 minutes, which is the fastest charging ever compared to the available electric vehicles in the market.
Let’s talk about the release date of this new Polestar 5 EV, officially claimed that it is officially planned to be released in 2025. But today is 1st July 2025, but it is still not released. So I think Polestar will launch it in late 2025 as the 2026 Model year.
In terms of Pricing, it is expected to start at around $100,000. However, its rivals, such as the Lucid Air price starts at just around $71,000, and Tesla Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid price starts at around $101,000 and $99,990. So its price is competitive.
